A new day...a new time...and after Matt's Albatross shenanigans last month, maybe a new presenter..?

At least Steve G will definitely be back to discuss all things birding in Essex, with the latest news and sightings from around the county. There's also details of the Summer bird photography competition and our upcoming field trip to RSPB Lakenheath later this month. Plus we catch up with RSPB's Mark Nowers to find out how our Turtle Doves are doing.

Global Birdfair Coach Trip

As many of you will already know the annual Birdfair show at Rutland Water has now been permanently cancelled.

For those wishing to visit the viewing screens at Lodge Lane, parking is available at Peldon Community Hall which is a 10-15 minute walk away.

Please note that there is strictly no parking on Lodge Lane itself and visitors should not drive up the road at all.

FINDING WILDLIFE in EPPING FOREST with Peter Warne - Friday 1st October

In 2010 Peter wrote the first edition of his book ‘Finding Wildlife in Epping Forest’ with a second edition in 2012. On the back of this he was invited to study and monitor the wildlife of Copped Hall, a restoration project just south of Epping.
